Mail tampering at summer camps?

So I am a staff member at a summer camp, and I am gone for 2 weeks and want to send a letter to my friend up there. I am an 18 year old guy and she is a 16 year old girl. We do not have an illegal relationship or anything, just a friendship. My question is will the camp be able to tamper with the mail I send her?
