Work experience.....?

Work you will find is going to be more like school than you would expect. There will be people that like you and people that won't, that's life. Don't take it too personally, it's their problem not yours. You be you and try to do your best at your job and the right people will gravitate towards you. If you get with or act like the "wrong" people it will only get in your way of getting ahead. If your new boss is any good at being a boss he or she will see your work ethics and award you accordingly. Or steer you in the right direction if you are struggling with the job. Good bosses are kind of few and far between though so good luck in that department. As far as the staff that seemed unfriendly, you are as new to them as they are to you. Remember, they were new at this job not so long ago too and there is a period you go through that you have to feel things out and sort through the good and the bad. The good news is that usually the better employees will get ahold of you early and warn you about the bad eggs. That's been my experience anyway. Just do a good job and take pride in your work and stay out of the gossip and drama is the best advice u can offer.
